Jurors in the John A. (Junior) Gotti trial sent a note Tuesday afternoon declaring a deadlock in their ninth day of deliberations.

For the second time in three days of deliberations, the panel said it was unable to reach a verdict on any of the three charges against Gotti.

The second-generation Gambino family boss is charged with racketeering and a pair of drug murders. He nodded as the jury ticked off its inability to agree on any of three charges.

Federal Judge Kevin Castel read the jury an Allen charge, a required last-ditch effort to get the panel to reach a verdict before a possible mistrial.

It would be the fourth mistrial in five years in the government’s relentless pursuit of the mob boss.
