Philip Bellino
One of the last two men executed in Massachusetts, along with Edward “Dutchy” Gertson. In 1945 they stuck up a dice game in New Hampshire and got $80. The other participant in the robbery was Robert “Tex” Williams, age 19, whom they feared would rat them out. So they lured him to a swamp in Lynn and shot him to death. After a 1946 trial, Bellino and Gertson were electrocuted at the old Charlestown State Prison on May 9, 1947.
