Camorra Boss Vincenzo Pergolizzi
Messina – Vincenzo Pergolizzi, believed to be the new boss of the Messina-based Camaro mafia clan, has turned himself in. The man, who escaped last Friday’s “Gramigna” police operation, in which other mafia members were arrested, had reportedly replaced former boss Carmelo Ventura, who is already serving a jail term.
According to the Carabinieri, over the past few years, Pergolizzi had been increasingly involved in the clan’s illegal activities, ranging from usury to drug trafficking and illegal horse racing. . .
