by MILENIO Mexican federal police have arrested six suspected Gulf cartel members who are linked to 40 kidnappings in the region of Tamaulipas– fourteen of which were committed between January and July . The suspects were busted in a cartel safe house armed with a small arsenal of high-caliber weapons
Those arrested were characterized by police as highly dangerous. They beat and tortured victims almost to the point of death. The modus operandi of this cell was to monitor the victims and get to know their routine and heavily armed gunmen would kidnap them at gunpoint.
