Whitey Bulger with his dogs.

James “Whitey” Bulger , former mob partner of   Stevie Flemmi and John Martorano

Consider July 23 — Stevie “Dr. Mengele” Flemmi was discussing his dental techniques when Carney suddenly stood up, as his client, Whitey Bulger, winced in pain. Carney got the judge’s attention and asked to approach the bench.

“My client has been writing notes,” Carney said, “that it is desperate that he be given a bathroom break at this time.”
