Police in Caserta conducted an anti-organized crime operation called “K’smet and arrested 11 members of a family coffee business tied to the Camorra, and seized assets and property worth 10 million euros
Acting on orders from the Prosecutor of Naples , police seized assets and properties in the province of Caserta , Tuscany, and the wealthy region of Emilia-Romagna,acquired by a family acting as agents for the Casalesi clan
The arrested are accused of laundering money through a thriving coffee company supplying the southern Compania region for the Schiavone faction of the Casalesi clan
The suspects are relatives of captured fugitive Sigismondo Di Puorto, a trusted top level enforcer of Nicola Schiavone , son of former boss of the Casalesi clan ,Francesco Schiavone, “Sandokan”
The father, brothers, and nephews of Di Puorto are charged with money laundering and false registration,made worse by mafia association
