A parliamentary probe into the 1978 kidnapping and murder of former Italian Prime Minister Aldo Moro has dug up evidence of operational links between the Red Brigades (BR) leftist terrorists who killed him and the Calabria-based ‘Ndrangheta mafia, according to an interim report, reports Ansa news
New evidence has emerged in enquiries involving prosecutors in Milan, Brescia and Reggio Calabria, the report said. Sources said the revelations could be “startling”
Beppe Fioroni, chair of the commission of inquiry, said that “the country and the memory of Aldo Moro deserve truth. But up till now, and after just a year of work, we have found many lies. Many revelations, we will partly rewrite the 55 days”.
