Steven Crea Junior

Gang Land’s Jerry Capeci writes,

Mob capo Steven (Stevie Junior) Crea, who was cleared of any role in the murder of former Purple Gang leader Michael Meldish by a lie detector test givruresen by a recognized polygraph expert has agreed to cop a plea deal to racketeering and other charges for a prison term of 13 years, Gang Land has learned.

Mr Capecj writes, Sources say Crea, the only one of five Luchese gangsters charged with the gangland-style slaying of Meldish to be released on bail while awaiting trial, has a stand alone deal that doesn’t include his dad, Steven (Stevie Wonder) Crea. The younger Crea is slated to plead guilty in White Plains Federal Court to three separate charges next week that do not include the November 15, 2013 murder of Meldish.

If the 47-year-old Crea receives the maximum 13 years — which is a good bet since Judge Cathy Seibel is a former mob prosecutor who stated during a prior sentencing in the case that mobsters deserve stiffer sentences than garden variety criminals — the mob scion could return home in 2028 at the age of 56. Crea Jr., who was granted bail a year ago, would get credit for the 14 months he spent behind bars before his release. Judge Seibel set bail at $1 million after stating that the account of the rubout by the key witness against him, the drug abusing mob associate Frank Pasqua III, who had “mistakenly” fingered his own father for the rubout, was “totally wrong.”
