NEW YORK – “Big Al” Bruno mob murder trial jurors delivered swift guilty verdicts. Two Western Massachusetts mob enforcers Fotios “Freddy” Geas, his brother Ty Geas, along with the onetime acting boss of the New York Genovese crime family, Arthur “Artie” Nigro were found guilty of murder, attempted murder, racketeering, extortion and other crimes.
At the forefront of the power play was budding mob capo Anthony J. Arillotta, 42, of Springfield, Mass., who quickly turned on the Geases, his former “scare guys,” and Nigro, the boss who formally inducted him into the Genovese family in 2003, after his indictment and arrest last year.
