Jersey City cops placed on high alert for retaliation by Bloods gangsters
Jersey City police in the South District are being warned to be on high alert for possible retaliation for the death of Lavon King, according to Eyewitness News.
King was shot and killed during a struggle with a police officer in an Ege Avenue backyard, according to Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino.
Eyewitness News said it has obtained internal police memos that detail a specific tactical plan that the station is not revealing, but it notes that the source of the threat comes from the area of Martin Luther King Drive near Grant Avenue.
