Italian police working with prosecutors in Rome and Reggio Calabria confiscated assets worth a whopping 150 million euros belonging to businessman Giuseppe Mattiani, considered close to the Calabrian mafia
Police say among the assets seized were a luxury hotel in Rome and a four-star hotel in Palmi, a Calabrian beach town, from father and son Mattiani who are alleged associates of the Gallico clan of the ‘Ndrangheta mafia.
Authorities say a total of 53 properties were seized located in Rome, Palmi and the province of Bologna, 9 cars and accounts in 13 banks. Giuseppe Mattiani and family members are accused of money laundering for the mafia Gallico
