CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) – Convicted mob associate Thomas Iafrate is beginning his sentence close to home, at least for now.
Iafrate, 70, of Johnston, is being held at the Wyatt Detention Center temporarily until he is assigned a permanent facility by the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
Iafrate is plagued with health problems and his 30-month prison stay was delayed after he suffered a heart attack last month.
A former bookkeeper for the Cadillac Lounge strip club, Iafrate was convicted of delivering extortion payments from adult entertainment businesses to the reputed former boss of the Patriarca crime family, Luigi “Baby Shacks” Manocchio. read more Here
