HBO is taking a walk back to the 1920s for an ambitious–and expensive–series set in the 1920s at the outset of the Prohibition era. Boardwalk Empire has an impressive pedigree: Martin Scorsese produces the 12-episode series and directed its 70-minute pilot episode, while Terence Winter (The Sopranos) is executive producer and top writer. read more from source USA today
