The Krays in their amateur boxing days during their youth

One of the most surprising places to find traces of Ronnie and Reggie Kray, the notorious gangland killers of the Sixties, is that ancient fortress the Tower of London. When yeomen warders are conducting tourists around it and listing the likes of Anne Boleyn and Walter Raleigh among its famous prisoners, they end with a mention of the twins, detained there for deserting from Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.
