The northern city of Chihuahua is one of Mexico’s worst hit areas for drug-related violence. Known for its beautiful scenery and the local Tarahumara people, the state is also the heart of Mexico’s violent marijuana and heroin industry.
Some villages in Chihuahua have lost over half their populations as the fight intensifies between Cartel drug gangs for key smuggling routes.
