Assets worth a whopping total of 500 million euros were seized by Italian  police from  individuals allegedly linked to the Lamezia Terme-based Iannazzo clan of Calabria’s ‘Ndragnheta mafia, ANSA sources said Monday.

Among the confiscated assets was the Due Mari shopping centre situated at Maida, between Catanzaro and Lamezia Terme and owned by businessman Franco Perri, an Iannazzo clan cohort  arrested on May 14, 2015

Other seized assets included properties, companies and bank shares. The shopping centre will not be closed but will be administered by a pool of professionals, the sources said.
