Marino was sentenced to 16 years in prison for committing a multitude of mafia crimes while heading a Camorra clan caught up in a bloody mafia feud for control over the drug rackets in a region near Naples
Prosecutors say properties and all assets seized were acquired from drug deals and other organized crime rackets connected to the mafia
The illegal capital was invested into legitimate enterprises by Gennaro Marino and managed by members of his family
Gennaro Marino is a capo of the Camorra clan secessionist involved in the so-called Scampia feud with the Di Lauro clan, responsible for a rash of murders. He is named ”’McKay’ after a western TV character
